Get Online Week 2018 (15th - 19th October)
Get online week is a perfect opportunity to get help to improve your online skills (or, maybe, to get online for the very first time).
Whether you use a laptop, a tablet or a smartphone - or if you don't have a computer at all and want to know what all the fuss is about - George will be on hand to offer 1-1 sessions to help you get more from the technology.
Whether you want to
use Google searches more effectively
look for a job
find out more about social media
look for a better energy or car insurance deal
protect yourself from online scams
protect your machine from viruses
understand your email system better (or get yourself a first email account)
get an app on your tablet or smartphone
remove an app from your tablet or smartphone
keep in touch with relatives using Skype ( or an alternative service)
or anything else at all, George can probably help. You're in charge of each session - you decide what you want to get from it.
All you need to do is to book an hour of his time and bring your laptop, tablet or smartphone with you to the session (of course, if you don't have one of these pieces of equipment there's no need to worry: we'll use one of the library's machines).
The sessions for this week are at the following times:
Monday: 10am, 11am, noon, 1pm, 2pm, 3pm 4pm
Tuesday: 10am, 11am, noon, 1pm, 2pm, 3pm 4pm
