Defibrillator Installed Outside Library
We've recently had an Automatic Emergency Defibrillator installed in a cabinet on the outside of the Library building (it's on the outside of the brick pillar to the left of the main entrance and is available 24 hours a day).
First of all, we would like you to spread the word that it's there - knowing it's location may help to save lives in an emergency.
Secondly, we would like to stress that it is intended for use in emergency situations only and that the code to open the defibrillator cabinet can ONLY be obtained by calling 999. The operator will then decide whether the use of a defibrillator is appropriate (in which case you will be given the code) or not.
LIBRARY STAFF DO NOT HAVE THE CODE AND CANNOT OPEN THE CABINET.
Here's what it looks like.
