Lifestyle Group, Friends4Life, Presents Cheque for Purchase of Large-Print Books

Four friends from Tollbar Academy decided to take part in this year's Humberside Police Lifestyle Campaign with the aim of raising money for the Library - specifically to be used to purchase large-print books.

Calling themselves Friends4Life, Maisie Griffiths, Maya Holmes, Lily Gula and Ella Hewitt raised a total of £217.55 by selling cakes from the Community Beach Hut in Cleethorpes. Three of the group (sadly, Lily was unable to attend the presentation) are pictured above presenting the cheque to Joan Darnell - a Library volunteer.

The Library would like to express its thanks to the girls and to all those who supported them in this magnificent effort.
