'Team Library' Win Foresight Achievement Award
In the recent Foresight Achievement Awards, 'Team Library' won the 'Support Through Befriending' Award.
The citation on behalf of the team from Scartho Community Library stated:
'Foresight opened the library in November 2015 and the volunteers' combined skills have made it a real hub for the community. The library now has over 1000 members and is open 5 days a week. It is known for its warm welcome, hospitality and huge variety of activities. This is all to the credit of the volunteers who work as a team ensuring the reputation of Foresight is enhanced by the service and the needs of the local community are heard and responded to. The library goes from strength to strength and this is down to the hard work and commitment of all the volunteers.'
